Four Texas firefighters were injured when their apparatus rolled over in icy road conditions over the weekend.
The accident involving a Pedernales Fire Department apparatus happened just before 8:40 a.m. Saturday in Travis County, KVUE-TV reports. The vehicle was responding to a call when it flipped over, and fortunately, the four firefighters—whose injuries weren't considered life-threatening—were wearing their seat belts, officials said.
“If it happens to us, who are highly trained and you know, do this day in and day out, you know, these driving conditions can be very treacherous to the general citizens,” Austin-Travis County EMS Capt. Darren Noak told KXAN-TV.
